Separate Rooms, One Vision

Yesterday, Akea and I recorded founder interviews for Casa JAMEX.

I answered my questions first. Then I handed him the phone, and he went into another room to record his. Apparently, the husband-and-wife interview process works better with separate corners. LOL.

Listening to his answers afterward gave me something I do not always get during our everyday conversations: his uninterrupted view of what we are building.

He talked about what he brings from behind the bar. I talked about the research, planning and determination required to keep the vision moving.

Different rooms. Different perspectives. One Casa JAMEX story.

It was not polished or rehearsed, but it was honest. And somewhere between his mixology experience and what he calls my “brainpower,” you can hear why this partnership works.

We are building it together, sip by sip.
