Building Casa JAMEX, Sip by Sip
I got up this morning after a night of sleeping intermittently while working on the Casa JAMEX Tequila website. I’m not exactly tech savvy, so I’ve been hunting and pecking my way through it, with Claude and ChatGPT helping me along the way. Because really, who—or what else—is available at 0 o’clock in the morning when you suddenly decide something on the website needs fixing? 😂
Anyhoo… I started this adventure about two years ago, and it has truly been on-the-job training. And strangely enough, I think we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.
Learning about business and best practices can be long and boring if you’re not interested. And me? My attention span can be a flash of light. LOL. Easily distracted. But something happened with Casa JAMEX. I became a sponge.
I soaked up every bit of knowledge available to me. Every class, conversation, question, mistake and new discovery just made me hungry to learn more.
I’ve tried to move on from this idea more than once. Something always brings me back.
Building this brand, sip by sip, is burned into my soul.
We’re still building. We haven’t reached the part of the story where I can tell you how everything turns out. There’s still a first production run ahead of us. There’s still Do You Know Your Tequila?™, the game show we’re developing. There are still a whole lot of things we’re figuring out as we go.
But maybe that’s the point of writing this now. I don’t want to only tell the story once we know the ending. I want to remember what it felt like while we were actually building it.
And when that first production run happens, and when those lights come on for the first Do You Know Your Tequila?™ show, I’m probably going to stand there for a minute and think:
Damn. We actually did it.
Everything after that? We’ll see.
Chat soon.
