Building Casa JAMEX, One Experience at a Time

When we started Casa JAMEX, we had a vision: a Jamaican-founded tequila brand, crafted in Mexico, rooted in our love of hospitality and our desire to build something of our own.

That vision still stands. Our first tequila remains in development with a producer in Jalisco, Mexico. We are still in pre-production, and there is no finished Casa JAMEX bottle to pour just yet.

But building a business has a way of asking a practical question:

What can you offer people today while you work toward what comes next?

For us, the answer was already close to home.

Bringing our experience to the table

Akea brings more than a decade of experience behind the bar. He knows how to introduce a spirit, make guests feel welcome, and turn a conversation into a memorable part of their evening.

As we worked on Casa JAMEX, we began exploring how to bring those skills to guests through guided tequila tastings. Then another idea took shape: an interactive game show where people could learn, laugh, compete, and discover how much they really know about tequila.

That became Do You Know Your Tequila?™

Think questions, friendly competition, buzzers, a scoreboard, and the occasional answer that makes everyone say, “Wait, really?”

You don’t have to be a tequila expert to enjoy it. Curiosity and a willingness to join in are a good place to start.

Sip. Play. Both.

Our experiences give guests a choice.

Sip. Explore premium tequila through a guided tasting with Akea, our Managing Partner & Mixologist.

Play. Bring your group together for an interactive game show, with opportunities to customize the game for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and private celebrations.

Both. Combine the tasting and the game show for a gathering that brings discovery and entertainment together.

The idea is simple:

Premium tequila education when guests want to discover. Interactive entertainment when guests want to play. Both when guests want the complete experience.

While our own tequila is in development, our tasting experiences use existing premium tequila brands. Guests can explore the spirit with us now while getting to know the people and purpose behind Casa JAMEX.

Why this matters to the bigger vision

We want to be open about the business side, too.

Developing a tequila brand takes time, relationships, and capital. We are building these experiences to generate revenue that can help fund Casa JAMEX’s continued development.

Every paid booking is an opportunity to deliver something worthwhile for our guests while moving the business forward.

The experiences also give people a reason to talk about Casa JAMEX. Someone might remember a surprising tequila fact, a teammate’s wildly confident wrong answer, or the moment their table took the lead. Those are stories people share.

That is the kind of buzz we want to build through good hospitality and an experience worth remembering.

We also get to listen. Meeting guests and working with hosts helps us understand what people enjoy, what they are curious about, and what makes them want to come back.

A little challenge while we build

We’ve added a free mini-game to our website so you can try a small taste of the idea.

Three questions. Fifteen seconds each. A fresh challenge every Monday.

Will you finish as an Agave Expert, a Tequila Contender, or a Tequila Rookie? There’s only one way to find out.

Play the free weekly mini-game and challenge a friend to beat your score.

The next chapter of Casa JAMEX

This is a pivot in how we are building the business, and we’re excited to share it.

Our tequila remains part of the vision. Along the way, we have found a way to put our hospitality, creativity, and love of bringing people together to work now.

If you’re planning a villa stay, a private celebration, or a gathering that could use a little friendly competition, we’d love to hear what you have in mind.

Plan your Casa JAMEX experience.

Thank you for following the build, playing the game, sharing a link, and being part of this next chapter.
